 There are several ways to help the Lonoke County Safe Haven. Two main roles are as a Court Advocate and Helpline Advocate. Other areas that need help may include fundraising, transportation, pick-up donations, child care, or as a shelter volunteer. Lonoke County Safe Haven also seeks community involvement to help raise operating expenses for the program. We invite you to become one of our 1001 Good Samaritans through a monthly donation of $10.00. For more information, click here. Volunteers must be 18 years of age and will be screened for objectivity, competence and commitment. Each volunteer must have a criminal background check, a child abuse central registry screening, and a 10-hour (6-hour classroom and 4-hour supervised) training program. We request the volunteer to pay the $10.00 cost for the background check. After six months of service with Lonoke County Safe Haven, you may request the $10.00 to be refunded back to you. Each volunteer should be willing to commit to at least one year of service and continued education training throughout their assignment.
